Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Elbert Day

One last image from Elbert. This sign was stuck to yet another abandoned building on the town's miniscule main street. I wonder what exactly Elbert Day entails. My guess is it includes some good food!

I'll bet you are right about the food!

The food is great! This year Elbert day is Saturday, July 11th from 7am to 7pm. There will be an all you can eat breakfast, chile rellenos and other tasty items for lunch, and a full dinner at the newly renovated Russell Gates Hall. The town comes alive with bands all day, a tractor pull, fly-over, parade, kids activities including a stick horse rodeo, various vendors, a pie judging contest, historical demos, a raptor presentation, chicken bingo, a silent auction, and a beer tent. Come and join the fun!
