Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. April sunset

I took this photo on April 29th. It was a very mild day and I was hoping for a spectacular sunset -- I even went to the Mesa overlook and waited patiently for about 45 minutes, but it was a dud. Since we're so close to the mountains we rarely get good sunsets here. Oh well. It was a nice day to sit and enjoy the twilight anyway.

Simplicity can be spectacular, and this shot IS spectacular! I love the cotton candy pink puffs of clouds and the cool gray and white of the mountains ... with the still-blue sky, it is awesome.

I like the pink sunsetty clouds, anyway.

I know what you mean. Nice sunrise quite often. But, its easier to stay up for the sunset than it is to get up for the sunrise :)
