Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

A new mural

Well it's new to me, anyway! The other day I spotted this great mural when Pat and I ran an errand to the library. It's down by the depot, just north of Giuseppe's, and it covers the entire south facade of a building. On Monday I made a little jaunt back there just to photograph it. This is just a small portion of the mural. I like how it depicts how the depot must have looked like a hundred or more years ago. I took several shots but I like this one best, because of the bright blue sky above the building. It was such a nice day! As I was leaving, I noticed that the mural was apparently painted by prolific local artist Doug Rouse, whose studio is only a few blocks from there. Pat went to high school with Doug. Small world!
