Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Rabbit, rabbit

I caught this cute little guy outside a church where I was shooting a wedding last month. I don't think I'm particularly terrifying, but he froze like a statue when he saw me (which allowed me to get this great shot of him). Remaining motionless must be a natural self-defense mechanism that works really well when a predator is in the immediate vicinity, but it's not so effective when a car is bearing down on you. I've found that animals who freeze in the middle of the road as you're approaching respond really well to NOISE, so the next time you come across a frightened squirrel in your path, honk your horn and it'll get right out of your way!

It's probably the same bunny that you caught in mid leap at our engagement shoot!! I still love that picture.
