Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Be Independent!

I still own every record I've ever bought, and Pat and I still listen to vinyl all the time. I miss the days of spending entire afternoons in record stores, flipping through albums and finding just the right ones to buy. Lately we've been on a sort of record buying binge. I've been buying lots of CDs too. In my opinion, the best place to buy vinyl around here, new or used, is Independent Records, especially their "Annex" location at 3020 East Platte. They have a huge selection. We were at the downtown location picking up some cool music the other night when I snapped this picture. Afterward we stopped at the Annex to buy some vinyl. It's a popular place. Vinyl is most definitely NOT dead! Today is the first Saturday of the month, so get yourself down to any Independent location and pick up some records at 20% off!

I'm with you. I used to spend half an hour or so each Friday in a record store in Stockholm. I never really liked CD's although I bought many of those as well, but these days I just download everything or listen via Spotify.
