Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

What's missing from this picture?

What's missing is the mountains! This is what it looks like just before the snow starts coming down on us. Lest you think we have bright blue skies every single day, let me assure you we get cloudy weather too, and when a storm is brewing, the mountains disappear like magic.

Grey skies are more commonplace than I thought ;-)

I've seen that sort of effect with the Gatineau Hills across the river here... you get snow moving in fast, and the hills are completely lost to view.

It's funny how much it looks like the midwest when the mountains are hiding.

Yeah, our mountains have a way of disappearing too!
