Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Balloons à la Chihuly

Pat and I spent all of Tuesday hanging out together in Denver, shopping. (We went to one store that was VERY cool, and I'll share some pictures of that on Saturday.) We started off in the Lodo, where I saw this large arrangement of balloons tied to a lamppost. It reminded me very much of Dale Chihuly's glass art. I'm sure it was intentional, since there's a Chihuly show going on right now at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Incidentally, there's also a Chihuly show going on at the Fine Arts Center in Colorado Springs at the moment, and it will be there through September. Chihuly is a very popular artist -- his large, complex pieces are enthralling and have mass appeal. It's easy to deride an artist who has become such a household name in his own lifetime, but I do like Chihuly's work. I'll try to make it to the show at the Fine Arts Center this summer so I can report back to you here :^)
