Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

A study in contrasts

Yesterday evening we had one of those rare, magical intersections of rain and sun simultaneously. The rain fell slowly and gently, almost like snow, and glimmered in the strong light of the setting sun. I stepped outside into our backyard to enjoy the moment. As soon as saw I how the individual droplets glittered so brightly on every surface, I ran back inside for my camera and macro lens. This is simply the leaf of habanero pepper plant covered in raindrops. I like the contrast of rain and sunshine, dark and light in this image.

It certainly combines for a dramatic macro image.
