Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

The Henley's truck

If you've lived here for a while, you've probably seen the Henley's truck somewhere or other around town. This photo was taken way up on North Academy. Henley's is a locksmith that's been in business here for decades, and as long as I can remember they have used this ancient truck for their service calls. I wonder how old it is -- to me, it looks like late 1920s to early 1930s, but I don't know enough about automobiles from that era to pin it down. What do you think?

We have a locksmith truck here, too, that I see in various locations; same truck; been around for years!

It is the oldest truck I've ever seen.

I would say the early thirties.

That truck reminds me of what used to be called "tin can campers" back in the 1930's or 40's.
