Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Speedometer Service

I have always loved this building at 449 E Kiowa Street! It was clearly built in the 1930s and it's housed the Speedometer Service Company for as long as I can remember. (And it's always been pink, as far as I know.) They're a very small business and can work on practically any car, but a lot of their patrons own vintage, collectible automobiles and hot rods. I've used them too, years ago. I own a rare old BMW that's difficult to find parts for. They did a great job for me. (They also fixed one of my old VW Karmann Ghias long ago.) My speedometer has just decided to break again so I guess I'll be visiting these guys again soon, in their cool pink building.

Nothing stands out on a building more than a great font...... or two. Well, having a pink building helps. Lovely!

Happy to see that this kind of small service shops still exist ...
