Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Downed tree

A victim of the weekend's foul weather for certain, this poor tree in Monument Valley Park was probably at least century old. We were dismayed to find it upended yesterday afternoon. There was no sign of a lightning strike. More likely the ground around the tree was simply so waterlogged that a strong gust of wind was all it took to topple it over. Sad!

When trees have a certain age, they are falling is natural law.

Your suggestion is quite likely- I've seen that happen here.

I hate when that happens.
