Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

M is for Mansion

Those familiar with nightclubbing downtown know this door handle. The Mansion is one of the more popular clubs in town, and it's part of a row of bars and nightclubs that fill the historic buildings marching down Tejon between Kiowa and Pikes Peak. Some time ago I learned something interesting about the building that houses the Mansion: it was one of the original opera houses in town, over a century ago. I can see how that would be true, given that the Mansion is positively cavernous inside (I'm not a habitué by any means; I was there once for a photo shoot). But I haven't been able to verify this fact and I can't find any historical pictures. More research is needed! A blog topic for another day, certainly!
