Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

The secret weapon

While having breakfast al fresco a few days ago at Paris Crêpe, we were seated next to one of the large, exuberantly blooming planters that dot our downtown. I've always wondered how the tall planters always look so good, considering they don't have irrigation. But as I was pondering that very thought, the answer to that question appeared like magic: this woman, who is apparently the secret weapon! She pulled up in a truck with a tank of water and a hose, carefully doused the plants, and pulled off dead blooms. Then she hopped in her truck and drove off to her next charge. I appreciate her hard work, and so the bees! (Can you spot the happy bee in this picture?)
