Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Helen Hunt Falls in autumn

Here's a lovely photo of Helen Hunt Falls that I captured yesterday afternoon. Pat and I spent a wonderful hour or so in Cheyenne Canon, enjoying the fall colors and the sound of rushing water. More tomorrow.

A pretty waterfall! No doubt named for someone other than the actress.

You're right, William! They were named after Helen Hunt Jackson. I did a blog post about her a while back. You can read it here: http://csdailyphoto.blogspot.com/2009/07/famous-colorado-springs-residents-helen.html

Thanks Pierre! To be clear, Helen Hunt Falls was named after the author and activist Helen Hunt Jackson, not the modern day actress of (nearly) the same name.
