Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

The velodrome has a new look!

The famous 7-11 Velodrome in Memorial Park, where many world class athletes train and compete, has always been an open-air facility. Lately we noticed that an enormous big white tent/dome was put in place over it. At first I joked that they must be fumigating the place, but Pat googled it and found that it's a new "roof"! That's right, the Velodrome will now have a cover during the cold months, so that athletes can use it in any kind of weather. This is great news for Olympians who are training for the 2016 games!

P.S. I'd like to see the guy in yesterday's post ride his bike on this track. Now THAT would be funny.

We have these in places here during the winter, including one on my campus. They do come in very handy.
