Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Woodturning arts at the library

I'm sick. Miserably sick. I spent the last two days in bed, so there hasn't been any opportunity - or desire - to go out and take any pictures for the blog. Thankfully I've got a few photos on my hard drive that haven't seen the light of day yet, including these, which I took at the beginning of September at the library downtown. Did you know that the downtown library features exhibitions of local art? (I even showed some photos there, long ago!) These beautiful examples of woodturning caught my eye when I was there to drop off some books. Look how intricate and unique they are! It's plain to see that years of patience and practice go into this centuries-old art form.

That is beautifully done.

Our main library branch displays art as well, generally for a month before moving onto the next artist.
