Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

The military memorials at Memorial Park (Part 1)

I suppose they call it Memorial Park for a reason, right? Although I don't know if the park was christened before the memorials were put here, or if the memorials were put here because the park was handily named Memorial Park! Hm. Anyway, I was there briefly yesterday strictly for the purpose of photographing them, but I had very little time and I wish I'd had a better lens with me. (The one at the top of this post should look familiar to you, since I've featured it here on the blog more than once.) Unfortunately I didn't manage to photograph all of the memorials -- the collection seems to have grown exponentially since the last time I looked! I'll post a few pictures today and and a few more tomorrow, and hopefully later in the year I'll have a chance to go back and document these memorials more artfully and more thoroughly.

The last one particularly catches my eye.

There are a couple of parks here that have become magnets for military memorials. I find them to be good photographic subjects.
