Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Here comes the sun

On Tuesday I did a photo shoot with ten models, all outdoors, in various locations downtown. It was sunny and breezy. Everyone had a great time and no one even bothered to bring a coat. On Wednesday, we had a blizzard! Less than 24 hours after my photo shoot, countless motorists found themselves stranded on area roads and highways. It even made the national news. Then, after hours of snow and extremely high winds, the sun unexpectedly came out at the end of the day. Here's a picture of the chicken wire fencing that encloses my backyard vegetable garden. You can see the sun peeping out from behind the snow. Twenty four hours after the blizzard, the sun had melted away all of the white stuff. It was like the storm never even happened.

Last night we got about six inches of snow again. March is always crazy when you live in the mountains!
