Boss of the bough

I spotted this hawk last Saturday while I was doing some portraits  near downtown. I didn't have a long lens on my camera at that moment, but I managed to get a decent shot of it anyway. Pat tells me it's probably a red tailed hawk. It definitely has a commanding presence, looking down at us poor earthbound beings.
