Drop & Swap!

I know that many of my readers don't actually live here. For those people, today's post probably won't be terribly interesting (check out yesterday's post instead, it's great!), but for my readers who do live around here, read on! Did you know that the County will take just about any kind of hazardous waste for recycling? Paint, motor oil, you name it. Electronics too. They also take the usual stuff: paper, glass, cardboard, cans, plastic. They do it all for free! All you have to do is drop it off at their facility at 3255 Akers Dr., 80922.

But here's another cool thing that they do: Drop & Swap! Basically, it's free stuff for the taking! When people drop off unused bottles of household cleaners, cans of paint, automotive products such as Armor All or jugs of unused coolant; spray paint, polyurethane left over from some home improvement project -- all of this stuff is on display and free to the public! It's genius! Every day is different. When I was there last week, I took a few pictures of all the awesome free stuff.
