Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

July 2016 Theme Day: Look Down

Well here it is, the first of the month again! That's when City Daily Photo bloggers participate in Theme Day. This month's theme is look down. I had actually planned on going to a point high above the city last night at twilight, to try and get a shot of the twinkling lights, but a lengthy thunderstorm descended upon us at the end of the day and prevented me from going anywhere. So I figured I just wouldn't participate in Theme Day this month, then I realized that I had a great image already waiting in the wings! This photo was taken from the Garden of the Gods overlook about a week ago -- you know, where I'm always taking those fabulous pictures of Pikes Peak with the park in the foreground (like the masthead of this blog, for instance!). Pat brought to my attention that if I just looked down and to the south a bit, there was Red Rock Canyon! I've never noticed it from this perspective, especially in the late afternoon. It looks cool!
