Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

The Great Pumpkin of Colorado Springs

Want to see a HUGE pumpkin? Go to the corner of Nevada and Vermijo -- it's in the middle of the median. Pretty hard to miss it! According to THIS news article in the Gazette (which has a few pictures of the installation in progress last month), the pumpkin is 10x10', 11' tall and weighs roughly 1,500 pounds. Wow! It's also 90% made from recycled materials, which I love. The Great Pumpkin is another fantastic local project by Concrete Couch, the same organization that brought us THIS sculpture in Acacia Park. I like it! I think it's a unique, fun addition to our city.
