Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Let's go ice skating!

It's that time of year! The only outdoor ice skating rink in our city is bustling with fun seekers. I grabbed these shots yesterday afternoon, and as you can see, it was warm enough for shirtsleeves. If you have friends and family visiting for the holidays, the annual Acacia Park ice rink is the perfect family outing for Christmas Eve. (And it's only ten bucks. You can't beat that with a stick.) I get such a kick out of watching everyone skate around and around. Don't worry if you're not Dorothy Hamill. Most of the people on the ice look like beginners -- there are plenty of flailing arms and the occasional splat. It's all part of the fun! If you've ever ice skated, you know that you get the hang of it pretty quickly. Fun times!

It looks like they're enjoying themselves!

We've got rinks either established or being put together through the city, including one outside our City Hall, while the skaters wait for the Canal to open up.
