Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

April snowstorm

Ah yes, the fabled spring snowstorm we were warned about. I mentioned in yesterday's post that I didn't think we'd end up with much snow, but boy was I wrong! These are pictures of our backyard. We got about 5" of white stuff in our neighborhood. Other parts of the city got even more. It was heavy and wet snow, and as you can see, the trees around our house were doubled over with the burden. All over town, branches were down. It was a big mess! But the roads were fine, so Pat and I ran errands all day. I took some nice pictures at the Garden of the Gods while we were at it. I'll share those pictures tomorrow.
The tree in our neighbor's yard lost a couple of huge branches, which unforunately landed in our yard. What a mess!

Well, we already said goodbye to that weather.

What a lovely sight it makes! I doubt we're done yet with winter.
