Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Lady in red

Springtime is upon us (well, more or less, depending on where you live -- here's it's still kind of a toss up!), and that means yard work, and that means you may come across some creepy-crawlies that've been lurking in your garden shed over the winter. Pat found this lovely specimen in our wheelbarrow yesterday, busily building a web. She was huge! I'm not squeamish about spiders and I generally leave them be, but sorry folks, this one had to go. Black widows aren't the kind of spiders you want hanging around. Pat did the honors after I snapped this picture.

Be safe out there, friends! Wear gardening gloves and pay attention!

Yes, a widow like that can't be around the house.
