Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

The annual show

If you like pink, now would be a good time to come downtown, because the eastern redbud are putting on their usual springtime display and it's lovely! It smells wonderful too, as you can imagine. For some reason you only really see eastern redbud trees downtown, in the Old North End, on the west side, in Shooks Run, and in Ivywild -- in other words, the older parts of town. They must have gone out of vogue by the time the city started expanding to the north and east in the 1950s. So come downtown and enjoy the brief annual season of pretty pink trees!
