All week I've been blogging pictures from our trip to Guanella Pass a couple of weeks ago. Here are the last few. It's a beautiful place! If you live in Colorado Springs, you should try and make the trip. It'll take you a couple of hours to get there, but it's worth the drive!
One of the hairpin curves on the pass. This is a fun drive if you have a sporty car.
On the way home, we decided to take Highway 285 through Fairplay. I captured these antelope as we drove. As you can see, they were doing what they do best: running away from me! Ha!

Gorgeous landscape- and what a hairpin!
Hi Tamera. First, I want to tell you how much I enjoy looking at your photography. Somehow I stumbled onto your blog and since I grew up in the area, I love looking at your pictures of "home". The shot taken on Hwy 285 heading into Fairplay was the part of the drive that my dad (born in Canon City in 1908) called South Park (not to be confused with the TV show or the collection of old buildings in Fairplay). He always explained to me that South Park was the open, flat valley in that area.
