Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Past its prime

In contrast to yesterday's photo of the perfectly maintained old schoolhouse in Florissant, this farmhouse of the same vintage right next door is in a state of decay. Certainly it's seen better days. I find it curious that despite its decrepitude and aura of abandonment, there's a new door frame and a bright blue door on the side of the house. Interesting!

It must have been inhabited until the bitter end. As you can see, modern Christmas lights still adorn the window, and curtains still hang.

One wonders about the purpose of the blue door- a new one to keep trespassers out?
