Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

More from Sunday's jaunt through Cheyenne Cañon. For some reason, people feel the need to leave their mark wherever they go. Maybe it's human nature. And once one person has carved up a tree trunk, others take it as license to do the same. It's a pity to do this to a tree, especially aspens, which are quite fragile. Enjoy nature without defacing it -- what a revolutionary idea. Look but don't touch. I wish more people would think that way.

I have the same thought about that behaviour.

I agree. Defacing public or natural property is ubiquitous throughout man's history. Dare I say the petroglyphs that we all cherish now as recorded history we're an earlier form of this practice? And certainly the love locks craze is the same manifestation of leaving one's mark.
