Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

The Bon Center

The little strip mall behind my studio is called the Bon Center, and it's a busy place. The immediate neighborhood, consisting mostly of cute little bungalows dating mostly from the 1940s, is called Bonnie Park, after the park across the street, and it's part of the larger Patty Jewett neighborhood, on the eastern edge of the Old North End. Other than a credit union, grocery, and hardware store, all of the businesses located at the Bon Center are small and locally owned. I'm a regular habituĂ©, since my studio is literally only a few yards away. Today I stopped by there just to take a picture of the sign. It dates from the early 1960s (the building that houses my studio was built in 1960). I hope it  never changes.

It's certainly well taken care of.
