Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Here's a picture I took on February 21st of last year, in the parking lot of Home Depot, no less. I'm attracted with my camera to anything old, crusty and patinaed, and generally I'm a very decisive editor, but nevertheless this image has been sitting on my hard drive for over a year because I had mixed feelings about it, especially how to crop it. Ultimately I think it looks best cropped in this 5x4 ratio for the blog. I was also hung up on the black and white versus color dilemma. I tried various black and white conversions on it, but in the end it's got to be a color image. Sigh. Things were so much simpler back when we were shooting film.
