Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

May 2013 Theme Day: the Creative Artisan

Happy May Day, everyone! It's the first of the month -- Theme Day for City Daily Photo bloggers all over the world.  This month's theme is the creative artisan.  To tell you the truth I had completely forgotten about Theme Day this month, and did not go out "on photo assignment" like I usually do. Thankfully, last week my mom asked me to take her shopping in Manitou to buy some gifts, and we stopped into the Manitou Glass Blowers. It's been ages since I've been in that shop.  There was a glass blower right there behind the counter doing his thing -- it was fascinating -- and of course I took his picture, then of course promptly forgot all about it.  When I realized that Theme Day was upon me, I was relieved to come across these pictures in my camera, just waiting to be posted! Voilà!

Thanks for the comments, everyone! I wonder how many band aids they go through in a month there? All their glass blowers must cut themselves at least once a day! Not to mention burns. I agree, the glasswork is beautiful, and each piece is unique. I'm going back at Christmas to buy an ornament for our tree!
