I went out three times last week looking for someone to photograph for today's style post. Alas, all I found were people in sweatpants (or worse yet, pajamas!). By yesterday afternoon I still hadn't gotten anything and thought I'd have to settle for taking a picture of a mannequin in a shop window, so I stopped by Colorado Co-op to do just that. But of course I had to go inside because I generally can't resist that boutique! And I'm glad I did, because I met Lisa, who was not only friendly, enthusiastic and helpful, she was also chic! Bingo! She was a great subject because she proves that looking good does not equal being uncomfortable. She's wearing cute, casual jeans and a blousy top. The shoes are comfortable thanks to the chunky heel, but a ballet flat would be just as stylish and even more comfy. So there you go -- three easy pieces and Lisa looks like a million bucks! (Extra points for the wide leather bracelet. Nice touch.)
BTW, while I was there I bought an Alex and Ani bracelet. It was on sale for half price. I'd never heard of this brand but what I learned is that their jewelry is cute and affordable, and a portion of their profits go to charity! I'll include a picture at the bottom of this post.
Love the shoes and the nail polish color!
All the Alex and Ani bracelets in the store are half price right now, which means they are as low as $14.Great deal!
