Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Like a mushroom

This shiny new apartment building on the corner of South Weber Street and Pueblo Avenue went up overnight, it seems. Like a mushroom. I first noticed the construction a few weeks ago, and when we drove past it last week, voilĂ ! "Now Leasing", the sign reads. Kind of an interesting spot to put an apartment building. I hope it's a success. I'm glad to see that there are many projects lately to bring people and life into our city's center, like this one. So much growth has taken place on the east side, the older parts of town have languished. Finally, the city's leaders have seen the wisdom of nurturing a thriving downtown.

That style of structure is often found here these days on in-fill developments.
