Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

A Critical Error

I went out today with my camera and took a few nice pictures of a church downtown, and when I got home I figured out pretty darn quickly that there was no memory card in the slot. And I call myself a pro! 😜 I suppose it happens to the best of us, and to be fair, I can't remember the last time I did that. My cameras are all set to give me a warning when there's no card, but I don't think I even checked the pictures as I took them. Oh well! Thankfully there are always plenty of images of good old Pikes Peak lurking on my hard drive. Here's one that I took a couple of weeks ago.

Ha ha. I have learned the hard way always to check for memory cards.

Beautiful!

Back in the days of film cameras, I once shot a full roll of a moose.

Got home and found out I hasn't loaded a roll into the camera.

@WilliamKendall I once did that in Mexico when I was a newbie photographer. Shot a whole roll of a magnificent sunset. Or so I thought. LOL

I wonder why we don't do that more often. I haven't done it myself with digital cameras, but in the days of film, I shot 14 rolls of film on my first trip to Ireland and discovered that my camera malfunctioned and only three shots on the first roll of film came out.
