Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

April Theme Day... again!

Okay, call me crazy but I'm having a second go at Theme Day. April's theme was cobblestones, and because we haven't got any cobblestones in Colorado Springs (or so I thought!), I blogged a picture of the street sign at Cobblestone Drive. But a couple of days later, my friend Aaron randomly posted a photo on Facebook... a photo of cobblestones! As it turns out, there's a small but deep pothole on Tejon and Kiowa downtown, and it reveals old cobblestones below the surface. Who knew? So yesterday I drove down there and walked into the street and took a quick picture of it. The things I do for my blog!

It's perfect! It just goes to show that we never know what history is buried under "progress".

There is a town in Southern Oregon that used local gravel when paving their streets ... only to find out it was gold-bearing gravel. They didn't find out until people started digging up the streets!
