Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Everest Tibet Imports

Let's hear it for the spirit of American entrepreneurship! Here's one of the shop windows of the Everest Tibet Imports shop on Bijou Street in the heart of downtown. The owners of this business are a family of Nepali immigrants. They own the restaurant across the street as well, Everest Nepal, which serves the most yummalicious Indian and Nepali cuisine in town.

Everest Tibet Imports has been a big success for them! In fact, there are now four locations around town. I think that's awesome. It's the place to go when you're looking for something exotic or funky to wear. They have everything from alpaca sweaters to hand-embroidered slippers to ornate chandelier earrings, all very reasonably priced. They have also got the largest selection of Hindu and Buddhist figures and meditation accessories in town. Although I love to stop in and browse and buy a trinket or two, I also enjoy a chance to just walk by and window shop. There is always the most lovely smell of incense hanging in the air outside their doors.

Oh wow I would love just roaming around in a place like this! I could spend a lot of time and money there.
