Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

February Theme Day: Paths or Passages

It's the first of the month, that means it's theme day for City Daily Photo bloggers! This month's theme is Paths or Passages. Already several dozen CDP bloggers around the globe have posted some beautiful and interesting images. Here is mine. It was taken at K-Mart at 6:41 P.M. on January 31st.

I have a fondness for K-Mart and I far prefer it over WalMart. K-Mart has everything you can think of, from fishing lures to socks to vacuum cleaner filters, which incidentally is what we were there to buy. For some reason I have a real soft spot for the K-Mart on Fillmore and Nevada. I go there all the time, whenever I need some odd thing or other, even though it's kind of old and crappy in there. I guess I'm just a creature of habit.

This made me laugh and then made me admire you for thinking differently. Good choice.

I like your interpretation of the theme!!!

Even though I hate shopping, I like your choice. I dont think we have Kmarts around here anymore. Most have been turned into Super Mercados.

I agree with Jilly - this was "out of the box" thinking for this theme! Yeah, I think KMart used to have a stigma that Wal-Mart kinda has today. Too bad there are less and less KMarts these days.

Heehee! I was wondering if anyone would post a supermarket aisle photo. I was tempted to take a shot in SM Hypermart when I went there yesterday morning :D

Happy Theme Day!

Good idea for theme day. They closed all our K-Marts years ago. Haven't been in (read won't go into) a WalMart in years.

I like your post, it's a simple slice of real life and fits the theme well!
