Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Peak Bowl

I suppose the Peak Bowl over on El Paso Street, across the street from the post office, is like every bowling alley of its vintage in every town in America. Built in the 1950s or '60s, institutional linoleum (probably asbestos!) floors, cinderblock walls, flourescent lighting, plastic chairs, crappy old pool tables, and a jukebox with everything from Buddy Holly to Run DMC to Nickelback, for better or worse. I haven't bowled there in ages, but now that I've taken a picture of it I'm starting to get a hankering for the Peak Bowl.

I haven't bowled in years either! The sky sure is a deep beautiful shade of blue in this shot.

I like to bowl, I just never go to Peak Bowl anymore for some reason. I'll have to check it out again. I love these old bowling alleys!

Beautiful shot, Tamera! You'd better get to Peak before they "remodel" it.

Yes, the sky really is that blue in Colorado!
