Here's a follow up to yesterday's post. I took a couple of minutes to check out the site of yesterday afternoon's grass fire. At first glance it didn't look like anything dramatic had happened in this spot, but upon closer inspection I could see a large scorched area. Thanks to the firefighters' quick response, the blaze didn't reach those homes you see in the background just beyond the bike path.
