This photo is courtesy of last week's wedding, which took place in Black Forest, northeast of Colorado Springs. A lot of nice homes in that neck of the woods. Before all the custom homes and mansions were built around that area, it was pretty much farmland and ranchland. The occasional ranch still survives, like this one. I came across it while driving to the wedding and stopped to grab a quick snap.

Nice to see that not all the farms and ranches have gone. We (and I mean that globally) are already losing too much to more housing developments.
The cluster of buildings looks safe and comforting, and I can imagine it probably is.
Beautiful! I wish you lived around here Tamera. My son is getting married a week from Saturday and you take such lovely pictures.
Me too Lois! I'd love to shoot a wedding in Florida. Sigh. Congratulations on the wedding!
Thanks! It's an outdoor ceremony at the bride's family farm. I'm just hoping for no rain!
