Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

This is an image that wouldn't be nearly as effective in color. When «Louis» first viewed it, it reminded him of this sequence of photos of the once-proud Packard plant in Detroit.

I think Louis is right - this shot wouldn't have the same punch in color. There is an aged abandoned look to the shot that gives it an eerie feeling.

You guys are so right. In color it was really kind of blah. It took me a while to find the perfect black and white conversion for it, but it was worth the hassle.

P.S. Louis, thanks for the comparison to the Packard plant photos. I love that whole series and have been fascinated by it lately! Funny you should make the comparison. Perhaps I was inspired!
