Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Ahhhh, gardening

Sigh. I took this picture the other day in my secret garden, around the south end of our house. This is what I like to call a Big Fat Mess. That poor garden has been sadly neglected by yours truly the last couple of years. You're looking at Lily of the Valley, which is being overtaken by mint, and in the top left corner you can see the Virginia Creeper swooping down to choke out everything in its path. And what you can't see in this picture is miles and miles of English Ivy, which has gotten completely out of control. Ugh. It looks like I will be spending the next few days doing some long overdue gardening, and not the fun kind. Does anyone want some mint??? I've got plenty!

That's funny - we have a mint take-over in our garden too. I made the mistake of planting ONE piece of spearmint - now if it's not being taken over by spearmint, it's being choked out by buttercups!!!
