Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Theme day: mailbox

It's the first of the month, which means it's Theme Day! This month's theme is mailbox. I took this picture of the mailboxes behind the downtown post office just this afternoon. I hope I wasn't breaking any laws! Mr. Postmaster, I swear I'm not a terrorist, I'm just a devoted blogger ;o)

I think American mailboxes are a little boring compared to our European counterparts. English mailboxes are that gorgeous bright red, and in France they're yellow. Here's they're just Government Issue Blue. I do think they're functional and well-designed though -- I certainly make good use of them!

All over the world, City Daily Photo bloggers are sharing their theme day pictures. If you'd like to see more,

I hear you. I think they are boring too compared to the ones in Europe. Maybe the US should be painted in each states color.

It's the beak that I find so unusual. Matches their logo. :D

Thank you for the welcome back, Tamera. And a big, big YES to lunch next year!

Good view of them.

This is the only place I see public mail boxes - at the post office. The beak is so that people can drop their mail in without having to get out of the car!

Gorgeous photo!
