Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

The landlocked seagull

I'm always bemused to find seagulls anywhere but the coast. This particular bird was photographed in Casper, Wyoming, over the Platte River. Sure it's a body of water, but the association with the ocean is too strong in my head -- I can't help but think, "How did that crazy bird get here?" It's a real head scratcher for me whenever I find a seagull so many thousands of miles from the coast.
