Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

March Theme Day: electricity

The first of the month means it's Theme Day for City Daily Photo bloggers! This month's theme is electricity. I was quite stumped as to what to take a picture of, until I had a lightbulb moment (ha!) and remembered this obnoxious electronic billboard on Austin Bluffs Parkway. It flashes a new ad every few seconds, and displays them on both the front and back of the sign. (BTW that background noise is the wind.) I have to admire the ingenuity of whoever thought of this -- talk about maximizing ad space -- but I imagine it uses A LOT of electricity. How would you like to have this in your neighborhood?

All over the world, CDP bloggers are posting about electricity.

I would move to Vermont if this was in my neighborhood. The thumbnail for this post on the CDP portal is all black; I thought perhaps you were having a power outage and captured it for today's theme.

How creative! Great example of electricity. Not an example I would want in my backyard, but still great shot!

It's things like that which make me so grateful I live in the country!! I hate flashing lights. Insightful post...that monstrosity must use a lot of electricity!
