This man is participating in an age old artistic tradition: painting en plein air. I remember when I was in art school, drawing or painting some lovely Colorado Springs scene en plein air just like this, and curious people always wanted to see what I was creating or strike up a conversation. While that's very nice, I actually found it disruptive (I'm very intense when I draw!), so I made sure not to disturb this artist as I snapped his picture. Tomorrow I'll show you what he was painting.
