A new chapeau for a grande dame

This lovely old mansion on Cascade Avenue was getting a new roof last week when I snapped this picture. Can you imagine roofing this monster? It's three stories up, steeply pitched, and has all those dormers and chimneys. It would definitely be a scary and complicated job! Still, someone has to do it. I'm just glad it's not me.
