I'm not going to lie, this week has been a little rough on me. Not easy. I'm still trying to get back to my usual cheerful self after the brouhaha on Tuesday and Wednesday, still feeling a little dispirited by it all. I guess it affected me more than I care to admit. Yesterday was very "up and down". I decided after work to go to one of my favorite spots just to recharge my batteries, so to speak. After a couple of days of snow, Palmer Park was looking so pretty. I was only there long enough to take a few pictures but I felt immensely better afterward. The sky was so blue. Above is a shot looking to the southeast, and the pano below (three photos put together) is looking southward. The lyrics to the old Irving Berlin standard come to mind:
"Blue skies
Smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies
Do I see."
I really am so lucky to live here.

I am glad you enjoy to live in your land, it is a pleasure.

When I am feeling down, blue skies work for me. In fact when I looked at you photos I could feel my spirit getting a slight boast. Good luck getting back to normal.
How nice to have a place like this to help you feel better. Beautiful photos as always Tamera!
Wow! That is a beautiful area, Tamera!

My mom lives in Colorado Springs - she will turn 90 in March. She lives at the MacKenzie independent living place right near the barn, so seeing that picture was great for me. In general, I love your blog as it lets me be in Colorado Springs even though I actually live right outside DC. I lived in the Springs for a few years when I was very young, so it is sort of home for me (and, no, my dad was not in the military).
So sorry for the nastiness! I love and hate the internet. I am glad you have beautiful Colorado Springs to help you heal.
Katie
Thank you so much, Katie! You just made my day :^) Tamera
