Where there's a will, there's a way

I captured this bee a few days ago in the empty lot across the street from my studio. As you can see, he's hunting for nectar on a closed flower. It's odd, those yellow flowers are open in the morning, but for some reason by the afternoon they are closed tight. I'm curious how the bee is able to get nectar out of them!
